Home/Safety
Safety comes first
The health and safety of everyone on our sites comes before schedule and budget. It starts with our principals and is shared by every worker.
Guiding principles
Every injury is preventable
Safety is set at the highest level of management and runs through how we plan, price and build. Every worker shares responsibility for the health and safety of the site.
We believe all injuries and incidents can be prevented. Through education, awareness and consistent mentoring, we build a culture where people speak up, stop unsafe work and look out for each other.
Everyone on our sites has the right to work safely and to be treated with respect.
How it works
On every project
A program built for the site
Each project gets a safety program tailored to its own hazards, scope and schedule.
Hazards found before work starts
Crews complete a field level risk assessment before every task, and update it when conditions change.
Training and mentoring
Education, monitoring and mentoring on site, with a goal of zero lost time.
Secure sites
Our field teams control site access to keep the public and unauthorized people out of harm's way.
Everyone engaged
Clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers all take part in the program, not just our own staff.
